Just getting ready to send in my Yale app, but I'm curious whether my LSAT score really hurts me with them or if the GPA helps balance it out. I checked LSN and it doesn't look great, but I figured I'd get another opinion. I'm also waiting on Stanford, curious about them as well (since I am above both 75th %s). Here's the rest of the info:

4.14 LSDAS GPA
173 LSAT
K-JD applicant
3 strong LORs - all from undergrad professors I worked closely with for at least 3 semesters apiece.
Decent softs - primarily academic but nothing really extraordinary

Looks just fine to me. I think you're forgetting that Yale doesn't go green for anyone, because the folks at Yale are not afraid to reject applicants with near perfect numbers. (Except maybe 180/4.33. I don't think there are any known rejects for those numbers.)

Stanford is even harder to predict because they emphasize LSAT less than Yale and have a smaller class size. Should be in at Harvard on down though.
