You're not T14 with those numbers: http://myLSN.info/5y19ax
But here's you when you retake and break 170: http://myLSN.info/f5uhr1

Right now, still apply to CCN and down. A lot of people with those numbers get waitlisted at Chicago, Northwestern, Cornell, and Georgetown.

Re: Chance at T-14?
Welcome to TLS. I'm also a MA male. 3.66 GPA. 159 LSAT. Planning to retake in February.
There's also a PR male with similar numbers. DaRascal. 3.6 GPA 161 LSAT. Also planning to retake.
But we also sent apps for this cylce.
If you have the money, it can't hurt to apply. However a 3.8 GPA, your W/E, and a retake, you should end up in great shape.

Alright, thanks for the info.
I think I am going to wait until the next cycle so I can apply ED to a school. Keep me posted on your cycle this year eav. Looks like you will get into some decent schools with those numbers.

No prob. Think about a June or October retake. Even a few points would really help (that's why I'm retaking).
A lot of people would advise against URM's EDing because you lose some scholarship leverage and URM cycles are quite unpredictable. Just something to think about.
I'll keep you posted. Send me an message around April and I'll let you know how things go. In regards to getting into some decent schools...I'm hoping

This. Retake, break 170 by studying your ass off, and get a full ride somewhere.eav1277 wrote:A lot of people would advise against URM's EDing because you lose some scholarship leverage and URM cycles are quite unpredictable.

Re: Chance at T-14?
Received a 159 for the June 2013 LSAT. PT-ing in mid to low 160s. Ultimately, I want to stay in Texas. Is it advisable to ED to UT or would some T-14s bite with my numbers 159, 3.8 and MA URM status? Are my numbers high enough for UT? I want to apply early this next cycle so an October re-take is a possibility but would rather have my apps sent out first.
Thanks for the help, TLS!

If you want to stay in Texas, and you get in state tuition, and you can get in with those numbers, then sure it sounds like a good choice.LSHopeful07 wrote:Received a 159 for the June 2013 LSAT. But the better choice would be to retake again. How did you study?

Re: Chance at T-14?
Self-study. Used the LR and LG bibles and manhattan RC. I think it just comes down to test day jitters. RC is normally my weakest section and LG my best. Ended up with a -0 LG.
There aren't many stats for MA URMs so was curious if my numbers and URM status are T-14 worthy especially with declining apps.
**Also, curious if I even have a shot at ED-ing schools such as UVA or Columbia or any other T-14, before taking a stab at the LSAT one more time.
Thanks!
