URM Chances?!?!?

Postby jas2140 » Thu Nov 15, 2012 10:06 pm

154 LSAT (retaking in DEC) -- Practice Tests between 157-162 -- had a bad test day.

GPA - 3.76

URM: PR Male

Great softs, recommendations, PS (like this shit even matters)

What are my chances at these schools? And does ED even help my cause?

American
Richmond
Tualne
Emory - ED
Cardozo - ED
Brooklyn
BC Law
Hofstra
Washington & Lee
St. Johns
Wash U

Thank you very much. I'm completely clueless with this entire process.

I know you're not going to like this, but you need to retake the LSAT until you do better.

If you can get in the 162-165 range, you'll get into the T14 with your GPA.

Right now you will have to settle for schools that are not worth attending.

How do I fair for these schools, however? Even if these choices are ones not worth attending.

Emory is a top 25

This is exactly right. If you break 162 you have a shot at Cornell.

Is it even worth applying ED at emory? that is my #1 right now.

Will it increase my chances? are my chances even realistic?

Make a new thread when you get your new score.

You shouldnt even consider applying with a 154.

Good luck.

Since you're already going to retake, you should definitely hold off on applying until you receive your new score. Good luck in December!
