3.67/165

Postby gatorfan163287 » Thu Nov 08, 2012 9:14 am

Hello everyone,

Couple questions about where I stand. Do I have any chance at a T14 school with my numbers or is it a lost cause to apply to any? If not, what would be the best alternative schools? I would not have a minority status and graduated from the University of Florida with a finance degree and 2 minors. Lastly, would applying ED anywhere help my chances to get me over the hump for a T14 or T1 school where my numbers are at or just below the medians?

Thanks

UF with a max scholarship ($14K/year) might be a good option, depending on how much UG debt you have. You're above both medians, UF student, you should get that. I would apply to FSU, too.

Your numbers put you in kind of a dead zone for applying OOS, unless you are from a different state than Florida. Like if you're from Bama, that might be another option.

Thanks. Yea I'm looking to get out of state for law school....well out of the deep south in general. Have been looking at schools like Univ. of Washington, UCLA, GW and such. For my reach schools the law school predictors seem to think I have a chance at Northwestern, Berkeley, Cornell, and Texas but I don't necessarily agree I have any chance at them like they predict which is why I posted just to see if it was worth sending in an application to those reach schools at all.

haha fellow gator here, i could not agree with you more.

Any work experience? If so, NU might give your application a boost. Other than that, Berkeley/Cornell/Texas seem pretty unlikely
