URM -- MA Male, 3.98 GPA, 169 LSAT

Post by lakers24fan » Tue Nov 06, 2012 12:19 am

Have pretty good softs, only took the LSAT once, plan to apply sometime in mid to late November. Going in straight from undergrad, double-major. I'm applying to the following schools:

Harvard
Stanford
Yale
Columbia
UCLA
Berkeley
Cornell
NYU
Virginia

What kind of chances do you guys/gals think I have to get in to each of these schools?

Thanks!!!

The very limited sample size on LSN says you have a decent shot at HYS. A little better at CC... and lock at NYU and down

50% chance at Stanford or Harvard.
Lower chance at Yale.
You're in at CCN.

Do law schools care about run-ins with the law? My junior year of high school I got into a fight at a public park and got a citation, along with 6 months of probation. Eventually everything was discharged... would this hurt my chances of getting in to any of these schools?

As long as you disclose it in C&F they won't have a problem.

Definitely in at CCN on down. Decent shot at HYS, but definitely not a lock.

That's just because there's no such thing as a lock at HYS. Yale in particular likes to make a point of rejecting the odd 4.0/180, just because they can. With a solid retake the OP could greatly boost his chances at HYS, especially Y
