3.82/179 good softs?

Post by starlitesue » Sun Aug 12, 2012 5:50 pm

Hey all, thanks in advance for you opinion. I have spent some time on LSN (too much time perhaps...) but I've only found a handful of people with numbers like mine, and most of them don't have my softs so I'd appreciate your advice.

Research masters in a hard science, undergrad degree in a hard science, 2 years of work experience at a big name bay area biotech. Currently studying for the patent bar (hope to have passed it before applications go out). Interested in IP/Patent law. Started a club in undergrad, and held leadership positions in various on-campus organizations/clubs (mainly medical/science based though, and that was like 6 years ago).

I would, like most people, LOVE to go to SLS, and I'll have applications in by early October.... what do you think my chances are?

Thanks!!

You should consider a retake...a 180 would have you really going places

Thanks for your response. What I meant by "none of them have my softs" was that most of the people I was able to find on LSN either didn't list softs/background or were K-JD. I know Stanford puts a high value on non-number based information, and to be quite honest I have no idea what would qualify as a "good" soft.

youre above average, but not "great" softs by any means. I would say 7 out of 10 on a good day. So I think its gonna be 65/35 at SLS (due to your connections to Cali) and 40/60 at YLS...
