myLSN.info
Sorry for teasing you guys with all these graphs I've been posting, it's just that the website wasn't ready to launch yet.
In any case, it's ready now. You can find it at http://www.myLSN.info
If you have any trouble/questions/suggestions, please let me know
And credit for the idea for the name to bernaldiaz. Unfortunately, myLSN.com wasn't available.
Also credit for the data to lawschoolnumbers.com
Enjoy!
Please ignore below, that is just me testing a new feature:

Re: myLSN.info
It's incredibly slow, just to load the query page. Just FYI. I've been waiting 2 minutes for my first test query to load.
Do you have any plans to expand it to include the rest of the schools from T1? Any T2?
Edit: Once the results popped up, really liked the layout. Great job!

I could include more schools, but that's going to make it run even slower. Maybe I could include separate pages for different tiers, which access different databases with different records. That would speed it up substantially.

Neat! Data from before 2006 will skew the results though, no?

Oops, yeah that was an accident. I was wondering why all my ongoing conversations abruptly stopped 3 days ago. Thanks for letting me know.

Re: myLSN.info
1) The layout of the graph is beautiful. Personally I think it's more useful than LSP and LSN* This is everything I could want from this kind of site.
2) It loaded pretty fast for me so it looks like it just got swamped with everyone going at once.
3) I think different tiers on different pages would be great. T14, T25, 15-50, 51-100 would be good cutoffs. I don't think many people want to see their chances at Berkeley AND George Mason at the same time, so there's not much reason to force the program to crawl through 100 schools.
Thanks so much for this amazing contribution!
*Obviously this wouldn't exist without LSN, and LSN is better if you really want to get deep into it (EDs, schollies, etc.), but if you just want a quick idea of your chances? This is perfect.
ETA: Looking at my chart, Mich and UVA yield protect like motherfuckers. It's hilarious to see a 20% drop from CCN to MVP.

Re: myLSN.info
Sure, it should now display the % of people who received a scholarship and the average scholarship they received.shadowofjazz wrote:Any plans to add scholarship info?LSATSCORES2012 wrote:(This is basically just an updated version of hourumd)
But take it for what it's worth and nothing more. Consider this applicant.
To counteract this kind of thing, I had the program eliminate any scholarships that are greater than $999,999. It also added three zeros to the end of any scholarship with only two digits (ex: someone had entered "12", so the program made that "12,000")

This is really helpful. It probably won't replace my neurotic LSN searching, but hey. :D

Scholarships are awesome but I think it's glitching. The average $ from NWU for me was "150." That's pretty stingy.
(I can PM you my stats if you want to try to replicate the bug).

Re: myLSN.info
Ok, I fixed the speed problem - the page now loads about 100x faster.
For this problem, the issue there was that only one person in the range you specified had received a scholarship, and that person specified that their scholarship was "150". I assume that anyone who enters a number less than 1000 that isn't zero means to specify that number in the thousands, so I made the computer program add three zeros to stuff like this, too. In summary, the problem is fixed. Thanks for letting me know about it!Yukos wrote:Sent.LSATSCORES2012 wrote:Could you please?Yukos wrote:Scholarships are awesome but I think it's glitching. Re: myLSN.info
Awesome job on the site!
I have a suggestion, though. If possible, you should display at least the LSAT/GPA for which the chart is displaying results for two reasons. 1) If you are messing around with different combinations, you can see the last one you plugged in. If you are trying 10 different combinations in a row, its not always easy to remember exactly what you are looking at. 2) I've noticed a few people have linked to specific profiles on the site, and without being able to view the LSAT/GPA combo, the people who were linked there don't know exactly what they're looking at.

It's realllyyy nice!
It appears that out of the T14, NW gives the most scholarship money (apart from Stanford & Harvard)? Is that true?
