They won't care at all about your community college.

Assuming LSAC calculates your GPA the way you have laid it out, you will be getting in to some great schools.

Maybe I'm missing something, why would they care? You transferred with a 4.0...

I mean, I agree that it's not inordinately difficult to do. But... is it that unimpressive that taking the community college-transfer route in lieu of the four year university path would hurt my application?
No, it will not hurt your app.

Your 4.0 will surely offset any "weakness" in your UG institutions. While a 4.0 at Harvard is probably > a 4.0 at East Bemidji Community College, a 4.0 at ____________ > 3.9 at Harvard.

4.0 and 173 is all that really matters.

Also, your community college experience was atypical. You graduated high school early. I don't think any law schools are punish you for attending a community college as a 17 or 18 year old kid.

thanks for the input, guys!

Not really sure if I need to post this on a different thread, but could you give me an estimate of which schools I should realistically aim for?

Probably the wrong thread but without knowing your gender or ethnicity a 4.0 173, IMO, gives you great chances everywhere except Yale. Not to say that you don't have a chance there, but it's Yale. S/H sound about right. Outside of the top 3 you likely could get in anywhere you want although you might get some WL's or rejections purely to YP. All this to say that you'll do fine and your community college experience won't matter.
