167/3.55
My top choice by a long shot is SMU. I know my numbers are fine, but I am still waiting on a LOR, which is promised to faxed "next week." I am only submitted two of them, so as far as I know I need to wait on it. Anyone know how big a role time plays here? If I am being paranoid, please tell me.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I applied ED to SMU with numbers similar to yours and am not expecting to hear back from them until the end of January/early February. I would not worry if your app. goes complete next week after the LOR is faxed in.
Besides, you will have no problem getting in with your LSAT.

Great! I guess I am more concerned about getting some $$$ than actual admission. I called today, and the admissions person I spoke to seem pretty laid back about it, but who knows?

$ is an issue for me as well. SMU is where I will probably end up since I'm probably not getting into UT. Looking at the last cycle, people with our numbers are being awarded $76k over three years. Your numbers are in line to get the 76k according to LSN.

I applied around this time last year with slightly lower numbers than the OP and got the 76K scholly. OP should be in good shape.

I'm not trying to be obnoxious here, but is retaking the LSAT an option? But other than that, I can only second what Tiago and Jam said.

well, i am pretty confident in my 167, as 165 is the median, and a retake is out of the question at this point for fall 2012 enrollment. I was pretty much just concerned about timing.

Re: 167/3.55
So....just spoke with SMU admissions, who told me that LOR's are not even required because they "just take a quick glance at them," and to just send in my applications "even if there are no references." What in the world ha? Guess all my obsession was for naught. Submitting tonight.
