3.9/170 + TFA + Fulbright + M.Phil

For a friend.

He has checked LSN/LSP. Wanted anecdotal poster input re: whether he has any shot at HYS or if he should just ED at his favorite of CCN? I'm trying to convince him of a retake, but 170 was at the top-end of his PT range.

For "your friend": pretty bangin' numbers and softs, outside chance at HYS, good chance at ED of CCN as you say. If that's the high end of his practice test range then sit on it and apply per your recommendation

Well to be sure he's weak at HYS but the TFA and Fulbright help, the M.Phil not so much. He should consider retaking really, while the 3.9 is good, it's not outstanding, he needs a better LSAT.

None of this means he wouldn't get in if he applied, only that his chances are lower.

He might have a good chance at Stanford, they love that shit.

Also, tell him it's an MA, not an M.Phil.

He's at Oxford, so I'm fairly certain it's an M.Phil

Tiny shot at H/S, in my opinion, but regardless of HYS chances I still wouldn't ED at CCN if I were your friend. I'm betting he'll get 2/3 of them RD.

I don't see any reason to ED.

My bad.

But yeah, I don't recommend that he ED. He's got a good shot at CCN RD.
