I was in at two of those schools and waitlisted (then rejected) at another with a lower LSAT and no PhD.

In at WFU & UNC. Likely at Virginia ED. Duke loves interdisciplinary study, so I think that your PhD will help for admissions. Many law schools seek Teach For America applicants so it seems reasonable to expect PhD research & teaching experience to be a significant soft. Law school admissions committees like graduate degrees unless it appears that the candidate/applicant is just trying to postpone entering the real world. Graduate school GPAs are irrelevant unless low.

Thanks very much for the info. I've found people on law school numbers (non URM) with my numbers in both duke or UVA. Does anyone think it makes sense to send materials now? If I wait I think I can get them everything by the end of December (when scores come out) but obviously by then there will be fewer spots.
