Numbers twin here. I consider NYU my big reach, and I think I have a fighting chance at all the T-14s below that school.

No.

Shot in the middle of the T-14 on down. Any particular favorites? ED might be a good idea if you are comfortable with sticker.

I'm skittish about binding ED... I'd be content with MVP at sticker, so I'm thinking I might just take my chances with RD everywhere. Hopefully that's not too risky of a gamble.

Virginia might as well be Yale if you aren't applying ED or have Virginia residency.

Make sure to write optional essays for Michigan and Penn. Expect to get a bunch of waitlists but you should get a bite or two within the T-14.

Maybe if u don't ed school x that is top ten, u might have to go to school y that is top 15. ed is there for a reason. if u are trying to reach into t6 it seems like debt isn't that huge of an issue, and u really want a highly ranked school. i would say ed at ur best chance, like uva, plus they have quick response time. i know u don't want to get tied down to one school if another offers u a good deal, u have to be dead set on that school, or at least play the odds. Caution, if u ED to NW u cannot ed to any other school, regardless of their verdict, nor can u be rejected ed from any other school and then ed to nw, it is a one time thing for them. good luck!

Yale and Stanford apps are wasted money. I would apply to Columbia on down the list. But the chances of a T6 acceptance very slim given those numbers. Your success will likely be the lower half of the T14.

I'd hold off on UVA and do late ED there if none of the others are working out.
