I think under 3.0 is most likely a ding at Gtown. The only success I've heard was The Waterman Maneuver. ED to Gtown Part Time.

You could gamble, but I think 2.77 is low enough that you are likely to get completely shut out. Just be willing to wait another year to ED to NU if that happens.

That sounds good. I guess I'm going to have to ED NU either way and maybe pray that GULC will give me a shot. Also, I don't know how much this will help but.. I am not the 2.77 and actually the 2.84 that took over the thread lmao. Should I consider staying an extra semester and getting closer to the 3.0?

Outside of t14 and the schools that I have mentioned, are there any other splitter friendly schools?

Notre Dame (I dunno.. probably not?)
Vandy
Fordham

Do you think I could land a few merit waivers?

I really don't think ND is likely. I was a 3.1 178 ND alum with a IMNHO pretty compelling why nd essay and I got waitlisted. I don't think they like splitters.

A couple of questions: First is The Waterman Maneuver... what's that? And second, how much would the suggestions previously offered change with a AA male URM with 2.5 years of WE?

The Waterman Maneuver is to Apply Early Decision to Georgetown, then change your application to part time.

The URM makes things very hard to predict. Generally it will help, but URM splitters don't do so hot. Make sure you apply to Northwestern. I'm sure you'll get in there.

This. NU's the best shot at the T14 for URM sub3's. GULC is possible. Pretty much everywhere is likely a no-go (unless things change due to the decrease in applications, which is possible though very unlikely).
