Trying to go straight through from undergrad. What are my chances at Kent, DePaul, Loyola?? Looking to apply to Kent early decision to see if that helps...

I'm a Chicago native as well and have looked into these schools pretty intensely. If you're planning to go full time..you won't like what I have to say. Your GPA is outstanding, but that LSAT score is dead weight that's dragging you down. You will not, with almost 100% certainty, get accepted to any of the three. You MAY, by some miracle, get waitlisted to DePaul. You will likely be rejected outright from Loyola and Kent.

Retaking is a horrible thing to hear, but its probably going to be necessary in this instance. Otherwise, I'd look at a lower ranked school like JMLS. That's not the best answer for your future, but if you're stubborn enough, it may be your only option.

Your gpa is OK (outstanding is a bit of an overstatement), but your LSAT will be the thing that sinks your chances - especially going straight through UG without any real world experiences, or strong soft factors to get them to focus on other things that might paint you in a better light. OP: To be assured of scholarship money at some law schools, you will need to retake the LSAT & earn a score of at least 157. With a 158, you will be eligible for a full tuition scholarship if you maintain your GPA. A score of 159 or higher will open up many more options, however.

I sincerely doubt a few admitted students with those numbers constitute a safety net at any of the three schools. Those may be, and probably are, part timers. The OP is below the overall 25th percentiles at all three schools. That includes the part timers who drag the numbers down, so if s/he is trying for full time, it will be even tougher. If URM is a consideration, which should have been stated, it would change things. As it stands, its either a long shot at a waitlist or total rejection IMO.

OP is above the 75th% GPA at all of these schools. Most admitted with these numbers are not URMs. OP is a "reverse splitter".

OP: You will do fine at these schools due to your GPA & the fact that all accept students with LSAT at & below yours.

It doesn't matter if you can get in, because none are worth even close to sticker. You have to retake.

GULC not worth sticker either...Cornell and Duke are questionable. Many cheap in-state schools probably are. Oh, and BYU (especially if you're Mormon). That's about it.

Honestly, am not really concerned about price right now. More concerned with chances of getting in since I have nice parents to help me pay the bills..

You'll get in. Although understandable, your worries are misplaced. Retake for a 158 or higher & enjoy a full tuition scholarship with reasonable stipulations from MSU.
