You have a job that presumably pays money, so wait. CA is a horrific market.

You should be in at Loyola and Pepperdine with $$$. You also have a very good shot at Davis and Hastings and a moderately good shot at UCI (although it seems like kind of a crapshoot at this point). Most likely out at USC, UCLA, BC, & BU.

Out of curiosity, why are you thinking of applying to BC and BU if you want CA?

Edit: I have no idea about taking the LSAT four times and how schools view that.

I want to practice in Los Angeles. The only other place I'd practice is Boston, so if it was between Loyola (ranked in the 60's) and BC (top 30), I'd have to think it over hard.

Would ED at USC give me a shot? God I'm so leaning towards a retake...awful to think about.

No.

I highly doubt it. Although I was WL'd at USC with a lower LSAT and GPA than you so I guess anything is possible. I am, however, Cuban and I would say that I have a pretty interesting background.

Loyola is ranked 54.

Write a solid PS. People underestimate how important this is outside the Top 20ish schools. With a good PS you have more than just a good chance at Loyola, Pepperdine, UCI, UC Davis, UC Hastings... outside chance at USC, probably not UCLA...

Thanks buddy...

UCLA and USC have always been my dream law schools. Even if I went to Loyola/Pepp I'd try and transfer to UCLA.

For someone who wants to work in LA, does it make more sense to go to Loyola or Pepperdine or to go to a higher-ranked northern california school like UCDavid or UCHastings?

@OP: Your best shot this cycle would probably have been a 1/3 scholarship to UCI. However, next cycle UCI won't be giving scholarships across the board so it is hard to say if you will get any money from them next cycle. You will probably get UCD/UCH/UCI at sticker and a 1/2 scholarship to Pepperdine/Loyola. I'm not entirely sure which is better though I'd probably lean towards taking the scholarship at P/L while sacrificing goats to appease the gods in hopes that you can somehow get top 1/3 and keep their scholarship due to the brutal brutal stipulations they put on them.

I think in general your CA options will be mediocre (UCD/UCH/UCI because of the price, P/L because of the stipulations) and hope that you have some money saved up so that you aren't taking out an absurd amount of debt.

Be that as it may, Loyola is still a T2 and is pretty awful compared to decent T1's. Not to mention that they have stiff top 30% stipulations on their scholarships which is fucking ridiculous.

Between Loyola and BC, I would take BC even at sticker. And that is rare for me to say.
