165/ 3.66

Post by cmac_2210 » Wed Jun 29, 2011 10:39 am

Just got my LSAT back and I ended up scoring 9 pts. better than any of my practice tests, so it is safe to say I will not be taking it again. Anyway, I was wondering what my chances would be at some of these schools:

Reaches: GULC, Cornell, BC

Targets:American, George Mason

Safeties: Penn State, Pitt, Villanova

LSAT: 165 GPA: 3.66 with an upward trend (4.0 the past 3 semesters)

Good but not great LOR's
Good but not great Personal Statement

I don't think BC is a reach but more of a target. Reaches are going to be anything in the t20. Targets will be anything from 21-35. Anything below that is a safety. If you're interested in Georgetown and BC, look at BU, W&M, W&L.

You could realistically shoot for any non splitter-friendly T30 below the T18. BC/BU/GW/Fordham/ND/W&M/W&L etc... WUSTL and UIUC are too splitter friendly so they may be difficult. GULC and Cornell are not likely.

I'm definitely going to look into BC and BU more, also Pepperdine caught my eye. I just have many more options than I thought I would so it's like starting over from scratch, but it's exciting.
