LawSchoolPredictor has you at 47% Consider. UGA has been getting more competitive lately, so I would recommend a retake and shooting for 166 or higher. It helps that you have a solid GPA - don't waste that! Retake and get a little extra money to sweeten that in-state deal :)

Thanks for the quick reply! I guess I really should re-take.. I was wondering though, did anyone with similar stats as mine get in this year? from LSN, it seems like nobody below 165 got in.

Looks like they're trying to move their median up a point from 164 last year. That doesn't bode well for you. 3 more points on a retake and you're in with $. If you don't retake or don't improve, then you're best bet is probably Georgia State, perhaps with a scholarship coupled with their low in-state tuition.

I hate to be a downer.... but just want to give my honest opinion so you will have a chance to get in. This year there was a 165 wall on the LSAT at UGA (unless you had a 3.9 GPA they took 164 or if you are URM). The two years before, there was a 164 LSAT wall.

If I had to guess they will either have a 165 wall again or I wouldn't be surprised to see a 166 wall. With your GPA I would retake this October and try to get a better score! Don't lose hope...164 is a great score and a great starting ground. You just have to get one or two more questions right! Definitely can happen with some work and a good test day.

(I am resurrecting this instead of starting a similar thread)

similar story: 164/3.83 in-state, UGA undergrad, weak (though not non-existent) softs

I ask for advice beyond LSP etc. because:

-LSN doesn't list ANY 164s from last year between 3.59 and 3.91

-in state seems to give a difficult to quantify boost

I will be re-taking in October, but will not be able to commit the amount of time I did to my June test (i.e. pithypike's plan over three months). 164 was my PT average, but I never adjusted to the more difficult LR of recent. I'm drilling and reading Manhattan's guide before taking my nine remaining PTs.

As much as it helps or doesn't help, I got in two years ago with a significant scholarship with basically identical #s to the most recent poster.

It would be hard to believe IMO that the school could move that far from its own numbers in just 2 years.

Of course that's helpful, I am encouraged to hear that.

I just read about someone in last year's app thread that got waitlisted with median LSAT and 75th GPA and have been a bit anxious since (those are my numbers). Maybe she was out of state?

I think you have a pretty decent shot if you apply early. Yeah, they had a 165 wall, but next year should be less competitive and in-state seems to give you a pretty good boost at UGA. I wouldn't be shocked if you got waitlisted, but i wouldn't be shocked if you got in either.
