OP, if you're as smart as you think you are, then stop touting the rigor of Oberlin and get a 170+ score. I know kids from Oberlin. I actually took my LSAT at Oberlin. And plenty of them are smart, but plenty of "smart" people at Oberlin can't score above a 165. And if you're claiming your GPA is so low because of how hard the program is, I find that extremely hard to believe. Your GPA is more likely low due to laziness or skipping class, and this is what law schools will assume if you have a rocking LSAT. If you don't get a rocking LSAT, they'll assume you're just an idiot. I know people, at Oberlin, who can graduate magna and then not break 160. Just put in the work.

If you do manage a 170 or higher, then you by no means have to settle for a lower T1. Look at LSN for WUSTL this cycle. If you get your GPA up to the higher 2s and pair it with a 170+ score, I think you're looking at 54k from them. If you have any sort of scholarship, or just want to get straight As this year and do an extra semester in anything to get above a 3.0, it's probably worth it. If you get above 3, you're looking at a possible ED to UVA.

Also, get WE and ED Northwestern if you stay under 3 and get a good score.

Also, what does WE mean when you're talking about Early Decision at Northwestern?

I find internet search engines are very helpful for discovering such information. I would recommend this one:

http://www.google.com

To save you the effort:

LSN: http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com
WUSTL: http://law.wustl.edu

WE = work experience, which NU craves. Early decision = EA or ED.

You need a much higher LSAT score with that GPA. If you want a course, take Testmasters. If you want to self-study, buy the PowerScore bibles.

All comes down to your personal will power, whether you require an instructor, and whether you have the $. I personally took the Testmasters course & lots of people on this forum have as well; can't go wrong with it - it's considered TCR if you want a class setting.

how much is much higher? with only 3-4 pts higher, OP could get in lower T1's, with 5-6, OP is almost certain to get in lower T1's, with 10 pts higher, OP is looking at T-20's

I disagree that a 163-164 would get OP into lower T1s. I have a better GPA and an LSAT slightly higher than that and I got WL at lower T1s. But I got $$$ at T2s.
