Any thoughts given the following profile ...

35 y/o PhD with 5+ years work experience in pharmaceutical industry
PhD from Penn State in Top 10 Materials Science program (GPA 3.67)
BS in Chemistry and Philosophy from small, public university (GPA 3.07 trending upwards)

Target schools are Georgetown, George Washington, Washington Lee, George Mason, UVA, and Fordham

Thank you.

You should get UVA if you apply early decision early in the cycle (and you're not terrible debt-averse).

You're probably in at all of these schools, agree with the previous post, you should ED to UVA.

+1. And blanket the T7-14 just for kicks. You'll probably get a few biting.

Depending on your career goals you should apply to Northwestern.

I dunno, with what I assume is an interest in IP id go GW ED, should be pretty much a slam dunk for free tuition at a school with IP cred

don't ED to GW, you have a chance at much better schools.

It's a judgement call. GW for free vs. t14 sticker doesn't have a right answer. That said, I doubt GW for free is an option. I believe for the ED scholarship you need to be above both medians. I think 3.8/167 types are the one's who get those awards.
