2.84 (LSDAS), 172 December 2010 LSAT (Fall 2011 Applicant), Two years public service work experience (read: AmeriCorps).
What are my chances at the following schools:
Northwestern (ED - first day applications are accepted?)
Cornell
Georgetown LC
Vanderbilt
Notre Dame (EA)
Washington University in St. Louis
The George Washington University
UIUC
Boston University
Fordham
Feel free to ask any questions regarding my potential application.
Also, any scholarship info. would be *much* appreciated.

Even 2.84 seems a little low for them, IMO. And I don't know if my WE actually "counts" as it is relatively minor (I assume there are lots of former bankers and science/engineering people amongst the student body).paulinaporizkova wrote:enjoy Northwestern
EDIT: see "tallguy" on LSN - what happened with him?

i still think you'll get in with the ED. if you want to make it more of a sure thing, take another year off and do more americorps stuff. do you have a hard major or did you just never even feel like sitting for your exams in undergrad?StateSchoolSplitter wrote:Even 2.84 seems a little low for them, IMO. If you want more WE you could take your non-competitive status and get a fed job

I'm not sure how that works exactly and have been itching to go back to school since the end of the summer after my senior year. I had a lot of momentum.dr123 wrote:If you want more WE you could take your non-competitive status and get a fed job

ouch. you might have kind of screwed yourself out of t14 there. there tends to be (VERY GENERALLY) a 3.0 GPA floor for all t14s, with many many exceptions I know before someone jumps on me. Sub-3.0's tend to have some other sparkling "it" factor that helps them stand out.StateSchoolSplitter wrote:The latter.paulinaporizkova wrote:i still think you'll get in with the ED. if you want to make it more of a sure thing, take another year off and do more americorps stuff. do you have a hard major or did you just never even feel like sitting for your exams in undergrad?StateSchoolSplitter wrote:Even 2.84 seems a little low for them, IMO. going solely off this information, this person did not ED to NU, but to UVA, and got rejected ED from UVA. since he didn't ED to NU (at least, according to his LSN profile) you can't really get anything conclusive out of thisStateSchoolSplitter wrote:http://lawschoolnumbers.com/tallguy/jdpaulinaporizkova wrote:send me the linkStateSchoolSplitter wrote:Even 2.84 seems a little low for them, IMO. Oh, good catch. Do you have any experience with NU or NU interviewing?paulinaporizkova wrote: going solely off this information, this person did not ED to NU, but to UVA, and got rejected ED from UVA. since he didn't ED to NU (at least, according to his LSN profile) you can't really get anything conclusive out of this

look for Federal Positions on USAJOBS, and check the box that says you have non-competitive eligibility, this will allow you to apply to a bunch of jobs may normall would not have access or eligibilty to apply to.StateSchoolSplitter wrote:I'm not sure how that works exactly.dr123 wrote:If you want more WE you could take your non-competitive status and get a fed job

i do not - i didn't apply because i don't have much WE (only a year americorps, i intuitively decided that wasn't enough WE to get me into NU so i didn't bother)StateSchoolSplitter wrote:Oh, good catch. i've heard that if you're a borderline candidate you should most definitely interview if you can

Ok, you might get WUSTL but I'd rather have NU. ND won't happen though.StateSchoolSplitter wrote:or bust? I mean that makes it seem like I won't even get WUSTLYourCaptain wrote:Won't happen.StateSchoolSplitter wrote:BUMP to include Notre Dame (EA).

But...but...you're an ND splitter. Far less severe I take it.YourCaptain wrote:Ok, you might get WUSTL but I'd rather have NU. ND won't happen though.StateSchoolSplitter wrote:or bust?
