Bump. Anybody have any thoughts? I'm trying to decide if I should try and retake in June- although I'm not sure my work schedule will make it easy.

NYU (I know this and Berkeley are unlikely especially without ED but it can't hurt to apply)

Admit at: Northwestern (especially with your work experience), Georgetown
50/50 shot at: NYU, UPenn, Michigan, UVA
< 50% chance: Chicago, Berkeley (they tend to favor high GPAs, especially the latter)

Apply early and drop everything below Georgetown. Unless you were PTing consistently at 175+, I don't suggest retaking. Even then, I don't see how it would have a significant impact on your cycle. From my knowledge, anything after 175 begins to diminish.

I have virtually the same numbers as you (one point higher LSAT, slightly lower gpa) and I was admitted early decision to NYU. I know you said you wouldn't do ED but, looking at LSN, I really feel like that might have been the difference for me.

That's a great set of schools for your numbers. NU and Georgetown RD is likely and you have a solid shot at UVA. Worst case scenario you're in the lower T14, best case you get lucky and snag a T6. I will say that if you really want T6, you need to either need to ED to NYU or be willing to ride out the waitlist.

Interesting. Since we're both borderline candidates I wonder if the single point makes an important difference. I'm actually relatively surprised all of you think I have a chance at NYU. To be completely honest, I thought it was a bit of a pipe dream.

Although I'm also hoping that with fewer applications expected this year some of the better schools will need to additional splitters to keep their LSAT medians...I guess we'll find out.

Hey everyone, I just want to thank you all for your excellent advice. I was accepted ED to NYU and I couldn't be more excited.

For future applicants: I was accepted at WUSTL, Fordham, Georgetown, and Michigan (w/ $$) and I will be waiving my pending applications at Cornell, UVA, Columbia, UCLA, and Northwestern.

I wonder, had he ED'd to Coumbia instead of NYU, whether he would have had a shot there. LSP indicates the same jump from deny to weak consider in both cases with an ED. What does somebody think?

Suddenly really really regretting not EDing to NYU and hoping my Columbia ED pays off.
