Perhaps ED Chicago and then ED NU if you don't get Chicago? NU seems like close to a sure thing, if that's possible.

What kind of personal connections to Harvard are we talking about?

GPA is 3.56. If study abroad credits are counted into lsdas gpa then I will have a 3.58...not that big of a difference, I know.
I am relatively sure that I want to live on the east coast or in Chicago. I'd be open to a few years on the west coast...I'm wondering if I should even apply to schools out there? I doubt I'd be interested in staying, but maybe a few years would change my mind. It is very far away from all of my family and friends, though.
My two years of work experience: one is in a work program that I expect will be a decent soft for those who have heard of it. Otherwise, I have no idea how it will look on my resume. I am planning on applying to LS to start school in 2012 or 2013, so I will have one or two years of solid work experience, plus the one year of the program by the time I begin. Other softs are relatively run of the mill...undergrad leadership and other volunteer/public servicey things.
I want to do public interest law. I'm also interested in the intersection of social entrepreneurship and law, which might actually be something I just made up in my head.
Scholarships and cost of living are not issues.
Where I am planning on applying:
Harvard -ding
Columbia-WL
Chicago -in with ED WL without
NYU -same as Chicago
Berkeley-ding
Michigan-in with 54k
Georgetown-in with $
Penn-toss up in with good app WL with generic
Northwestern-in
WUSTL-in with $$
Whoops this post is incredibly long. Thanks to anybody who stuck with me through my ramblings.
I had very similar numbers so PM me if you have any specific questions.

Unless you have really strong connections to Harvard, that is out. Chicago is possible with an ED, but I wouldn't say probable, same with NYU. Otherwise, i'd expect you'll enjoy NW.

With the knowledge I have about the application process, I think I am leaning toward applying ED at NYU or Chicago. My other option would be to apply RD everywhere and see where I get in. If I end up not liking my options, I don't think I'd have any qualms putting LS off one more year and then retrying with an ED somewhere.

I don't know how much those connections would help, but I doubt it would be enough to get you any more than a waitlist.
That said, from what you said in OP, I would advocate ED to Chicago, but blanket the T20 to leverage scholarships if you don't get in. Even though you said scholarships and COL aren't a factor, free money is always nice.
