I'm not sure you are even "in" at Tulane. Apply to all schools that have an LSAT median of 162 or below that you would want to attend. Don't bother applying to any schools that have an LSAT median of above 164. If a school has a median of 163, only apply if you have extra money left over after applying to all the schools you would want that have a median of 162 or below.

The jump from low 160s to mid/high 160s is tremendous. You are talking a lot more admittances/money. Retake.

Might want to look at Iowa, they've got a low median.

Let's say I can get my LSAT to a 170. Would that be worth waiting until next year for? Again, that puts a lot of pressure on me to absolutely kill this thing, but when I graduate from college in May I'll have plenty of free time.

Hey Spooky, I posted on your duplicate thread. If you could boost your score up to 170 then it would make sense to wait a year and you would have a pretty decent shot at the schools you mentioned. But moving from 163 to 170 is no small feat. A 163 means you missed approximately 20 questions, you would have to miss half that to get the score you mentioned.

Yeah, I understand what it entails. However, I took the LSAT under a full course load of 22 hours, and though my major is nothing particularly difficult it was a matter of not having enough hours during the day to do the inane amount of homework and study as much as I would want for the LSAT, on top of having a 10-hour a week job. When I graduate from college in May, I will have nothing but free time, and thus can dedicate the amount of time to studying for the LSAT that is needed.

I am just super torn right now, I can either "settle" for a lower top 50 school, such as Tulane or Alabama (connections) but I have never really been much of a settler, gpa notwithstanding. IF I wait until next year, I could spend that time improving my LSAT score significantly and rounding out my resume'. I know there are a few great schools that accept high LSAT/low GPAs. But again, that's a huge leap of faith because the pressure to move from a 163 to a 170 might be crushing.

Thanks for all comments so far.
