URM? If not, then definitely out everywhere except Mercer/Charleston.

This

It's not a generic retake thread, you just need a retake to get in anywhere decent on your list.

Maybe you have a slight chance at a few of them with your high end practice test, but we all know that high end practice never becomes reality. I would suggest finding some good fit schools, because you have reaches and somewhat safeties, but nothing in between. Your gpa isn't high enough and softs aren't special enough to have a huge impact on your apps either.

Poster asks for thoughts from masses

Masses give opinions based on understanding of what responses people in similar situations have received

Poster ignores opinions of masses because they are not what he/she was hoping to hear

Poster wastes hundreds of dollars in application fees/report fees, in hopes he/she can waste tens of thousands more in unsubsidized tuition.

Above poster provides no relevant information

Above poster wastes lots of time

Above poster has self esteem issues

Original poster thinks above poster is a rad dude.

In other news, thank you to everyone else who actually gave a relevant opinion.

My son has crappy LSAT but very strong soft factors. I will report how those factors played out.
However, from the little that I have heard from admission officers and law school deans, soft factors are only use for borderline cases in deciding between two applicants. It isn't worth much.

Ahhhhh, that's why you're so persistent in your belief that the LSAT is a poor predictor of a student's success in law school. I was wondering what your motive was. It makes sense now. I'd probably think along the same lines if I had a kid in the same situation.

Don't leave your job security to go to any of the law schools that will accept your LSAT/GPA combo.

If your in-state, it's worth it to retake and shoot for UNC. The cost of tuition is like scholarship.

since OP has already wasted his/her money applying to those schools, you really have four options:

1. forget about law school. it is terrible. best option IMO.
2. ball out on Feb test and hit at least a 160. you might get FSU?
3. retake in June. hit 165+. get a good schly or high-ish ranked school.
4. enroll in what would be an awful lawl school with your current number. enjoy defending DUI cases for the rest of your life?
