My chances?

I have just received my Dec. 2010 LSAT score (a 170) which was a somewhat surprising increase from my 159 in June. I was present at the October admin. but cancelled due to a splitting headache during the test. I have a relatively decent GPA of 3.85 from UCSD in Bioengineering. I've also worked for 4 years and have a patent issued under my name plus other decent softs.

I sent in my applications prior to the December score (not sure that was the best strategy..) so now I'm not really in a position to explain my multiple sittings for the LSAT. Any suggestions? Should I contact the schools directly?

I'm applying to Berkeley, UCLA, USC, UC Hastings, Santa Clara, USD, U of Washington, Loyola, U of Arizona. Any ideas on my odds?

Ay help would be much appreciated!

PS: My lower score in June was due to finding out that my gf was pregnant about 5 days prior to the test although I don't think this would be addendum material.

tbh, i cant imagine you not getting into UCLA or USC w/ that LSAT score (they dont care about the 159). send an addendum and notify them immediately of your 170 (they knew you were taking the dec test right? and waiting on the score?)

w/ bioengineering and an IP background + WE...3.85 + 170 = i likey your odds at most of the schools you listed

I appreciate the input! They were awaiting the December score so I will put together an addendum. Thank you!

Assuming those schools take the highest LSAT and don't average, I see you getting in everywhere that you listed; Berekely is contingent on you putting together a good overall application, though. Most will give you $$$, too.
