thanks, man i really wish dec scores came out earlier. do you think the no gpa puts me at an advantage since unlike their usual ED applicant i won't have a low-ish (definitely no offense to the splitters, if I had a GPA I'd be one too) to go along with it?

I am international applicant myself, "above average" as well.

I do not think our non-reportable GPAs put us at an advantage, especially when it is "above average". It is pretty neutral in my opinion.

yeah guess my 170 is lowish too. and hey thanks for your input i remember you having a pretty good cycle!

Good luck to you too. I would put a couple of really strong essays together and aim for Michigan, Georgetown and Cornell. Time is ticking. UVa is unpredictable (or predictable in a pessimistic way) this cycle.
