Thoughts on grad/work experience - splitter

Post by SMA22 » Wed Dec 29, 2010 12:16 am

Hi Gang,

Wondering if anybody else is in the same boat: I was ill junior year, slipping from a 3.8 to 3.1 overall UGPA.

Did a year post grad at 3.7; went on for an M.S. with a 3.6 while working FT. Mexican URM, 6 years work experience, multiple LT volunteer positions, LSAT around 170. Thoughts?

Your GPA sucks, but it won't matter because you're URM.

You're chances are really good and prob in with $$ at lower T-14. I would just blanket T-14 and see who hits. As a URM, 170+, and 6 years WE, I think you got a great shot. GL!

P.S Grad GPA means nothing in admissions but you have other factors that will get you in. Nice job on the 170.
