I have a BS/M.Eng. in civil engineering with 2.5 years of work experience as an engineer with a top 10 ENR contractor. I am interested in construction law at a big law firm and possibly a counsel position for an EPC/AEC firm in the future.

What are my chances at the following schools:
T14
UT
UCLA
USC
Fordham

I know what the calculators say, but how much does my advanced degree and work experience increase my chances?

I will be 6 months away from qualifying for my Professional Engineering License upon entering law school. Would this significantly help my career and warrant waiting until the next cycle?

Thanks in advance.

ED to UVA, and ride that background to a meaningful job offer from the OCI.

Degrees/PE won't help you get into law school, but, will help with future employers. GL OP, am also a civil applying next cycle.

At the end of the day your CGPA is what's counted. The 170 should open some doors for you in the top 14 though.
