There are TOO MANY people on this board who tell people with my LSAT score to not even consider law school. I was told a Top 80 was not possible. I was told I would be looking at full-tuition at a tier III. I had many rejections, but all it took was one school to look past the LSAT. Now I am staring at a top tier law school and an almost full tuition scholarship. There was also other programs that offered me scholarships. Yes, I am AA Male, but I also have work experience, performance reviews, and did not stand by. I knew my LSAT score was weak, so I made damn sure the admissions committee knew I was interested in their programs. I spoke one-one-one with the Admissions Directors. Did this work at every school? NO. But for some of the schools that offered scholarships, I would certainly like to think me showing up in a suit and asking intelligent questions worked in my favor....

Sick dude.

If you look past my GPA and my LSAT, Im a really nice guy. I hope youll let it me in based off of that.

And look man, I dont mean to give you shit, which I realize I pretty much am. Good for you and all, and I hope youre successful, but it really is ridiculous. The LSAT is the single number one factor in LS admissions, and it seems like it was pretty much ignored in your case. Im not saying the LSAT is indicative of your abilities, but its a necessary hoop. Its just irritating, because my LSAT is in the top 6%, and im not looking at anything that good.

I have a history of poor performance on the SAT, ACT, and LSAT. I was able to show that despite my grades on these tests, I have performed at a high level. My undergraduate grades were above average and I worked in a demanding industry. The admissions committee was able to see my performance reviews, all top notch. If I can succeed in that type of environment, then the committee believes I can do well in law school and so the LSAT becomes a non-story.

Don't get me wrong, fifteen schools couldn't look past my LSAT. Texas auto-dinged me, Michigan probably laughed and Georgetown tossed my app in the garbage. All the tier 2's in NYC sent me rejection letters. However, I identified the schools that have accepted people with my scores in the past. I wrote a PS, DS, multiple LOCI's, visited admissions, and at the end of the day, was able to score a home run.

LS is a numbers game. The LSATis never a non story.

Im starting to think Flame.

You shouldnt even have broken top 100. Full ride at a T40? Its a bit farfetched.

His GPA was most likely above their median. What is so hard to believe about what he accomplished? Both GPA and LSAT matter to ADCOMs. At some schools, the LSAT isn't weighed a lot more heavier than GPA. He didn't need to be admitted to 50 schools-- just a few, so he could have some choices. They counterbalanced his poor LSAT with someone with higher one. His GPA counterbalanced someone else's poor GPA.

THIS

Bport, YES, LS is a numbers game.

Any applicants at/above a median are more valuable for sheer rankings purposes than applicants below both medians.

Still, OP is an exceptional case. Congrats OP.

140 LSAT, 900 SAT, bottom 20% law school. You better gun that bar study man because you got a lot of failure indicators.

I don't use the word retard so that must be the general term that has been born out of your reputation and insipid posts. Please go back to your lame posts and stop hijacking my posts from three years ago...

You are struggling. Treading water. My LSAT, SAT, and Law school ranking are all higher than the numbers that you indicate. Dude, just get off it. I'm a success story. You have been wrong on every statement. Bye Felicia.

What kind of job do you have and how much do you make. And do they allow bar retakes?
