OP: Just don't even listen to these idiots. If I were you I would just stop studying for the LSAT, it's a waste of time and NYLS is going to jump all over your GPAs anyway. You're right for being dead set on attending NYLS, it's a terrific school that will prepare you for a lifetime of success. I mean just look at Judge Judy.

I guess what I'm saying is don't listen to what everyone says on TLS. The LSAT really isn't that important and a 145 or whatever you said you have is pretty damn good anyway. The importance of the LSAT and what school you attend is a myth, anybody who knows anything about legal hiring knows that its not a superficial process that only involves grades and rankings. The fact that you will only be 19 at OCI will also be a critical advantage in the hiring process. GOOD LUCK!

Seriously though, spend $150,000 at a casino instead - it will be more enjoyable, quicker, and your odds of leaving with a successful return on your investment will be about the same.

I am a 0L so take that for what it is worth. If you are not a flame... and you must go to law school now, in NYC, and again cannot wait, then at least try for CUNY. NYLS charges astronomical tuition and you have NYC cost of living. CUNY you have NYC cost of living but at least they are not completely shilling you on the tuition. Oh yeah, don't assume you will do anything above median at any school.

Return on his investment will be significantly better at a casino. NYLS is where dreams go to die.

Think about the kind of weekend you could spend in Atlantic City or Vegas if you were willing to lay down $150,000 over 48 hours...

Of course not, if your going to piss away your financial future you have to spend at least 3 years going to school in the most expensive city in the United States. That's the fiscally responsible way to economically ruin yourself.
