I guess that is what I was trying to say above. Softs do not mean a thing unless they are truly tremendous...these are not tremendous. Be realistic with self assessment.

However, I don't think UVA will be indicative of your entire cycle. You should get some hits in the t14.

Didn't want to bother people with all of the details... over 1000 volunteer hours in undergrad and was President or Vice President of seven different groups... did a bunch of other student initiatives. There are probably other people who stuffed their resume full of nonsense that might have more impressive looking softs, but who really likes the person who is an officer in 7 different groups in the same year... that means they didn't do anything. Anyways, just basically saying that I didn't f--- around for 4 years, but actually got involved. Grow up dude.

Also, I have supervised and recruited over 350 field staffers as the Field Director for Wards 2 and 3 for Vince Gray's successful mayoral bid. Also, I headed up the New Media and Research effort for that campaign. Additionally, I have been a campaign manager for several campaigns and held leadership positions in several other U.S. Congressional and Senate races. Also, I was a scholarship runner in track and cross country. That is just what I can think of off the top of my head. Way to suck at life buddy.

I just love watching the unexpecting and eager first time posters get eaten up by TLS sharks. It's like watching a fawn getting run down and torn to pieces by a bunch of lions and tigers.

You have a 2.7 GPA and your butt buddy has an LSAT that is below the median for UPenn. Guess what. You both suck at life. Why don't you make your own posts rather than pissing on other people. The two of you are entirely bereft of societal utility and should give up on life now. Also, don't post your abysmal admissions statistics if you are going to continue to talk trash about people.

So your major was too hard for you? And you want to go to law school now that you've failed in that field? That's precious.

I was hoping that E.E. meant engineering. 2.66 in Elementary education. Did you ever make it to middle school?

i know this convo has focused on the #'s, but obviously something is not working in OP's app. he has the #'s....

did u mention being homeless in a DS? i think this would be really affecting to an adcom, and really would increase diversity.....we're 60 yrs removed from only rich WASPs being admitted to top law schools, having someone who overcame being homeless, perhaps the hardest thing to overcome to score a 174 and finish with a respectable GPA is pretty darn impressive.

it doesn't seem like cornell YP's so much because there have been 3.7 174's who have gotten in.

william, i know uve got a ton of softs....

are u sure ur PS is ballin?

Maybe YP because he was homeless?

It was hard for me to keep focused man. I was president of 8 clubs and did 1100 hours of volunteer work. At least I dedicated myself outside of the classroom. Sounds like UVA (a school known for looking beyond numbers and their holistic admissions approach) realized that you SIR did not.
