Yeah, can you believe that guy?

He's still living in his HS Wrestling days unable to accept the cards he's been dealt.... 8)

And you think you can score 170+ on the LSAT? Go take one of the practice tests in the 50's. Time it. Come back and ask us how you can up your 150-158. We'll tell you to focus on keeping your GPA up and take powerscore or follow pithypike's guide. Also, you got a B at a community college and you think you can get top 5% at HYS? Come on man. Get a grip.

Man you're such a cornball. FYI, my SAT point distribution was Reading- 680, Math- 500, Writing- 720.
You seem to have forgotten that the SAT is a HS exam so you can calm down right about now :)

I'm pretty sure YOU forgot it is a high school exam. Meaning you are competing against a much lesser crowd. Also, a 500 on the math section correlates very very poorly for the LSAT.

I have a 3.9 GPA if you really must know.

The LSAT shouldn't be too difficult.

Also I'm a URM so I'm not really worried. Yeah, I guess top 5 might be difficult but I know I'm gonna be up there.

You have two years left to go. You've got squat until there is an LSAC report.

Yeah Yeah Yeah.... Are you finished?

Anyway, I think I'd rather get my PhD in English Lit. I prefer to be surrounded by intellectuals with a passion for literature and not a bunch of insufferable nerds jockeying for HH and law review (borrrrring)

I'm all for that. You sound entitled and lazy to me anyways. You wouldn't do well in law school, and you wouldn't do well as a lawyer.

Take a look at this study reported in the ABA Journal ( http://www.abajournal.com/news/article/ ... searchers_ ). It seems to say that how well you do as a 1L (wherever you go to law school) turns out to be much more important than how highly ranked your law school is. Taking $$ from a lower ranked school might be something to consider so long as you do well once you get there. Jus sayin'

Thundercats, here is the deal.

If you have no connections and want the best chances of getting hired, go to a top T 15 or so school. If you are in the top 10, I don't think it matters much. The key, however, is that you want to do well in school. Even if you go to Cornell or Columbia or even Yale, if you aren't in the top third, you will have a hard time getting hired.

If you can't get into the top 15, then you want the best, most well known school in the state.

If you have some iron clad connections or you aren't attending law school to practice law, which is surprisingly the case for a number of people, then go to the best school that gives you the best financial package.
