They view WE as far less important than a 167+ LSAT. To OP, listing additional information really doesn't matter. With your numbers an ED and a regiment of intense prayer is the only thing you can do to have a shot at Duke (and even then it's a tiny shot). Best of luck to you, but don't hold your breath.jt1341 wrote:I believe this will help. Does anyone know how Duke views WE? or how importantly they view itdannyde7 wrote:Yes. Re: Duke?
My friend's sister made it in with an LSAT score in the mid 160s and a 3.5 (Claremont McKenna ugrad--poli sci). She's Venezuelan and Indian, but I'm not sure if she included ethnicity in her app. The only significant EC she had was playing soccer all through college. Another brother of my friend had a 3.8 and did not make it into Duke. I'm unsure of his LSAT but he made it into UT Law, so I know it wasn't low.

You have a slim chance with your current numbers, but if you want a reasonable shot, you'll need to retake.

Re: Duke?
Does Round II of ED give as much of a boost as Round I? Are a 3.8X/167 competitive? Not enough data points on LSN :/

2010 Entering Class:
168/171 (170 Median)
3.68/3.90 (3.80 Median)
You are well below the 25th %ile LSAT and only slightly above median GPA. No matter when you apply, it's going to be an uphill battle with those numbers.

Re: Duke?
Just called their admissions office. I would have to fly out to Northwestern by the end of next week for a personal interview on-campus. No way I can swing that with my job.jt1341 wrote:This is what I said. But after speaking with OP i think ED to Northwestern would be a MUCH better bet.DukeCornell wrote:dannyde7 wrote:3.84/165.

Re: Duke?
The guy at the admissions office said I would have to write an addendum requesting a local interview or no interview at all, which I'm sure impacts admissions decisions. Apparently, they don't make you interview if you live in Micronesia, however. I'm not too upset. I wouldn't be thrilled about moving to the midwest for three years.jt1341 wrote:DukeCornell wrote:Damn, i have heard that they dont only interview on campus?dannyde7 wrote:3.84/165.

In cases like this, I don't think anyone who was wrong is all that disappointed that they were. So I don't really see the point in rubbing their noses in it.kkklick wrote:Looks like you guys were wrong ahah.
