Any suggestions where I should apply? My first choice is UT-Austin, but I would like to look around for other opportunities.

No Venezuelan. I was told by my pre-law advisor that its still an underrepresented group so it should be a slight boost, probably not as much as Mex-American, Cuban, Native America, or African American.
I really am interested in applying to most of the schools in 10-20 range. I've gotten fee waivers to some (UVA, UCLA). Are my chances good enough at each of them that they're worth the application? Also, do I have any chance at Penn, Berkeley, and Michigan?

You have a very good chance of getting in everywhere from Columbia on down... Apply to all of these schools and play them off each other for money. Don't ED anywhere. My bet is that you get in everywhere except for HYS if you have a solid application and write good statements, and that you will get decent $ from several schools. Congrats.
As for HYS, H&S are both waitlists if I were to guess. If I was anyone else (ie. non-URM) I wouldn't apply just for the sake of money. For you, I say do it just because the potential gain is WELL worth 200 dollars.

It wouldn't hurt to try out CCN to see if any bite, but you stand a fairly good chance at MP with solid essays. Berkeley loves GPAs, so that seems somewhat less likely.carboy67 wrote: I really am interested in applying to most of the schools in 10-20 range. I've gotten fee waivers to some (UVA, UCLA). woah there's some optimistic posts up in here. i think u have a good shot at MVP, but CCN will b tough to crack. if u ED i think u'll get one - u prollly have a decent shot at one of CCN in RD.

Venezuelan is not URM.mst wrote:Urm = optimistic
OP, Texas doesn't like low GPAs, but if you're a resident that might help. Apply to the lower T14, maybe CCN as a lark.

If Venezuelan is not URM, then retract every single thing I've said in this thread so far. Massive apologies on my part for not knowing better.
