Re: 3.6 / 165 UVA?
You need 170 for a shot.

With VA residency? I get the feeling that the skepticism is a bit over the top, though I don't know for sure.

Because you're in-state, I'd suggest applying ED if you really really want to go there. You're a bit of a long-shot, but if they happen to like the rest of your application they may take you to fill their in-state quota. I've heard of in-state people below both medians getting into UVA before. Unlike the out-of-state pool, it's not completely unheard of.
Retaking and getting a 170+ would greatly increase your odds, especially if you applied ED after you got the 170+ score. That'd be your best chance of admission.

That far below both medians, though? We're not talking about 3.8/169.vanwinkle wrote:I've heard of in-state people below both medians getting into UVA before. Unlike the out-of-state pool, it's not completely unheard of.

Re: 3.6 / 165 UVA?
what schools do people with 3.6 / 165 usually apply to? as in great chances?
i looked at the T15-20 schools and i seem to match some of their criteria (on the lower side)
but im not sure exactly how it works out based only on medians..
of course i dont wanna rely on this score but i always gotta keep in the chance that i may not do as well as i could second time..
I'm not being lazy just asking here but i didnt know where to go for any solid advice on where i could go based on thests stats 3.6/ 165...
please help!
and thanks for the prior help!
and one person said maybe these stats could MAYYBE get me in UVA with in state residecny and ED...but its too late for that... is it possible?

You're really looking at schools in the 20-30 range with those stats.

Re: 3.6 / 165 UVA?
ok so.. is there some crazy chance that UVA may be possible with residency?
also...
if i want to practice in NYC...
which school would be better GWU or some schoo like W&M or Fordham?
obviously the previous ones are higher ranked but i hear so much raving about fordham..especially in NYC market..is fordham better just b/c of the whole regional thing? if i wanna work in NYC?
