3.72 GPA, LSAT pending

I've been studying for the LSAT all summer and am aiming to get a 170+ this coming October (first shot at it).

Where should I think of applying before my LSAT score comes back?

You can think of applying to as many places as you like, but the truth is that you really shouldn't think realistically about applying anywhere until you get the LSAT score back. You could bomb it or you could ace it, so what is the point of giving it any real thought if you don't have a score. Trust me man, I know how hard it is to wait, but you really need to wait until you get that score back to get any worthwhile advice.

None. Your LSAT will dictate where you go.

+1

A 3.72 GPA is the type that will make you a good candidate for many schools, but is not a good enough GPA to override a mediocre LSAT. For instance with a 165 you'll be eligible for many strong regional schools, with a 169 you could get some of the lower T14, and with a 173+ you would stand a decent shot at CCN down. Pull a 180 and even Harvard is a realistic possibility. with a 4.0 things would be a bit different, as you would still have a good shot at some top schools even if you didn't break 170 on the LSAT, but as that is not the case there really isn't any way for us to make reasonable predictions at this juncture.

I did fairly well in all my nonscience classes (all As, many philosophy courses), but have gotten mostly Bs in my science classes.

probably not an option with a ~3.0 science GPA
