No GW? I'd say your best shot is there.

As a splitter, apply to all the schools you mentioned, if not more, and see how it plays out.

Add Washington & Lee. http://wl.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats

Make sure your GULC app is for PT (or for both programs).

Also, if you're dead-set on DC, did you know that GW's ED program comes with a guaranteed full scholly? http://www.law.gwu.edu/Admissions/apply ... early.aspx

ED'ing to GW is a waste, considering it gives only full schollies and is more competitive than RD.

ED to GULC probably. Hope for either GULC/UVa/GW and settle for something like W&M/GMU. I don't think you should dip lower than that with a 170 LSAT.

Northwestern, but it's a reach with a 2.8 even if you have WE, which they pretty much require.

Other schools are outside of your geography: WUSTL, Illinois... few others.

I hope schools below the line are in no particular order. And where is W&L?

Depending on your tolerance for debt, I'd say:

1) ED at UVA right when applications go active. You're GPA is low, but you might get them to bite on your LSAT, especially if you're in-state.

2) If that doesn't work, ED to GULC; I'm not sure about FT/PT/both, but they're PT program is pretty small and they might actually want people working in the area to fill it (who knows).

Anyways, splitters are tough to predict, so apply broadly (GW, W&M, W&L, GMU, American, etc), leverage scholarship offers and if you're having trouble deciding, come back here and ask.

I think it also depends what you want to go for and if you plan on staying in the DC area in the long run. I'm trying to stay here too and looking at GW and Georgetown- but I went to American for undergrad and know that AU WCL is pretty well respected if you plan to do something with human rights. Good luck!!!

Your listed safeties are a waste of time and app fee. I got into much of your target list and I had a lower LSAT. I also advocate the app to W&L.

I'd ED to UVA. Several people got in there with around 2.9-3.0's with 170's on the LSAT. But ED to GULC part time is probably a good one as well if you are willing to go part time. Besides that I think the best possible realistic school you are looking at is GW. But apply broadly as it is unpredictable for splitters like you.
