I suppose my broad search may have been misleading, but I wanted a larger sample size then 2 at one school and 5 at another.

your broad search was not an "ED only" search hence your completely wrong conclusion. You are overlooking how much of a boost these schools give to ED

And just for fun, let's do the previous 2 cycles too:

Same parameters (170-180/3.2-3.3, Non URM, Multiple LSAT included)

2008-2009:

UVA ED: 3/3
http://uva.lawschoolnumbers.com/applica ... =3&type=jd

Penn ED: 1/1
http://penn.lawschoolnumbers.com/applic ... =3&type=jd

2007-2008:

UVA ED: 2/2
http://uva.lawschoolnumbers.com/applica ... =3&type=jd

Penn ED: 1/2 (rejected was a 3.15/170 who went on to attend M)
http://penn.lawschoolnumbers.com/applic ... =3&type=jd

Where's your evidence that a 3.24/175+ would most likely be rejected from one of these programs ED? So far, NONE OF THEM HAVE BEEN.

You can't get that sample size because a 175+ LSAT is not very common, and a 175+ LSAT accompanied by a sub-25%tile GPA is even less common. The number of 3.0-3.3/175-180 splitters out there is tiny as it is. Many don't utilize the power of ED, and many apply late. But it is the very rarity of that LSAT that makes schools inclined to take lower GPAs when they can do so early in the cycle with the guarantee that the applicant will matriculate.

Ya. Appears I underestimated the power of ED. Get a good score and enjoy P or V it appears. Congrats.
