I would say pick your favorite of MVP, GULC is too low IMO, though NYU might be an outside shot.

Extraneous (irrelevant?) info: decent softs with a lot of leadership positions, graduate GPA of 3.9.
Thanks for the help!
unrealistic reach: hys, columbia, chicago nyu, penn, ucla, mich, uva, duke, berk
realistic reach: cornell
strong target: georgetown, northwestern (if you have WE)

you have about a 2/3 shot at georgetown and northwestern ( if you have WE).
if you want to ensure that you get into a T14 apply ED to either of these 2. they don't seem to give money to those accepted with your stats so you wouldn't really be screwing yourself in regards to scholly money if you applied ED to these schools.

you could apply ED to the schools i think are unrealistic reaches but i don't think that would be very effective.

if money is really important to you and you don't think georgetown or northwestern are worth sticker, apply ED to one of the unrealistic reach schools...if you don't get in you'll certainly get a huge scholly from schools outside the T14/vandy/texas/usc.

You think UVa is an unrealistic reach? I'll grant UMich, but UVa seems reasonable.

Can you apply ED if you're taking the test in October? I just looked at lsac and it says I will get my score by e-mail on November 1st....

woops...i meant to say that georgetown and northwestern are "strong targets".

uva seems to be more of an unrealistic reach than penn or mich. according to lsn, of applicants with OP's stats 1 was accepted and 19 were rejected or waitlisted.

it's like night and day when comparing last cycle to the 2008-2009 cycle. for that year with OP's stats uva and penn would be considered targets and michigan would be considered a strong target.

It has to do with location, my s.o. has job prospects in the DC and NYC areas, family in PA. Went to undergrad and grad school in an area similar to Charlottesville, need a change or I will go crazy.

UVa is a realistic reach, apply ED there. If that fails, apply ED to GULC PT, kthxbai.

Whoops, didn't see that you don't want c-ville. Do Penn then, then GULC PT.

You can forget T6 & BoalTTT.
Everything else is fair game.
I'd also recommend applying EA to Cornell.
