Re: 3.4/162 Hispanic
As a fellow non-urm hispanic, I feel for you. I don't think we get much of a boost. I think if you are median in GPA or LSAT and a little below median in the other, your ethnicity will help you.
If I had to take a narrow-minded and uninformed guess, I'd say you might squeeze into Alabama, maybe Georgia, because I don't think they get as many Hispanic applicants as other schools.
I think being Hispanic will get you into Tulane if your softs are decent.
I think FSU is probably your best bet, you might bet a little money out of them, and in-state tuition is amazing for its job prospects, especially in Tallahassee.
Wake Forest- maybe a WL then in if you show continuing interest.
Everywhere else- out unfortunately.
GHonestly, we are still in July. I know it sucks but bury yourself in your room while its 110 degrees outside and study for the entire month of July and August. You could pull off a 5-6 point increase, and that will open tremendous doors for you. If you can hit 170, I think you can get a few t-14s. Hit a 168 and you have a chance at Vandy.
Good Luck

Re: 3.4/162 Hispanic
lol I know exactly what you mean! I hated studying for the LSAT.
But trust me, when you graduate from a top 20, have a decent job lined up, and can pay back 2K a month in loans without starving, you'll be thankful you studied another couple of months.
Without having connections, its really hard to get a law job right now. Just keep that in mind.
Good luck in whatever you choose to do. Personally, I think you should also look into some lower tier 1 schools that will give you money. Going to the "best" law school you get into at sticker is only smart IMO if you get into a top 14+Texas/Vandy/UCLA. I would throw BU in there too just because its my alma mater =)
If the best school you get into is ranked 30, dont skip on serious money at another school ranked 70. They aren't that much different.
And don't think because you went up 13 points from your diagnostic that you can't go up more. I went up 22 points from my diagnostic, but I took it three times. You went up 13 on your first try! Keep going!
