Applying ED..does applying ED to a school boost your chances
Does applying ED boost your chances of being accepted...the way it does for college apps?

I have looked and read the stuff on this site. Apparently there it is debatable as to whether applying ED boosts one's chances. is this correct?

I got into a school there would have been absolutely no chance of me getting into if I had not applied ED. Yes, it makes a difference.masterthearts wrote:I have looked and read the stuff on this site. Apparently there it is debatable as to whether applying ED boosts one's chances. is this correct?
Is this serious? Where is there debate about ED helping?

Seriously. Although I actually got into a somewhat-peer school for RD before I heard back from the ED place, but whatever.megaTTTron wrote:Hell yes it does. HELL yes it does. Thank god for ED.

No, apply as late as is feasibly possible. Usually the day before the school's application deadline is best.

Very credited. But only for those who could get in anyway. It's a strategy play. For us lowly splitters or w/e it can be a godsend.KingJames6 wrote:Have fun paying sticker.

What about at schools that specifically say that ED applicants will be evaluated the same way had they applied without ED?

I do too, late in the cycle school often lower their standards because they are desperate to fill seats.

LOL..stop trying to spread lies and stop trying to fool the newbies. Anyone who has read any book on applying to law school knows you MUST apply early in the cycle. Or, are you guys afraid of the competition from people on this site and trying to spread falsehoods?Stanford4Me wrote:No, apply as late as is feasibly possible. OP if it is binding then I would say it helps. You're essentially saying you're my number one choice and I want nothing more than to go to your school, and being legally bound to that statement, sort of. That goes a long way in adcom's eyes. Yes, sometimes it doesn't help, but if you look at the available data, it seems to help if its binding.
