According to what I've read, as long as your were President, it's fine to leave the frat on there, but just put it on there... don't make it your resumes life story... And keep the stupid philanthropy/frat stuff (I'm in the same boat so I'm not trying to be mean here) away from your personal statement... When applying to schools like HYSCCN your competing against people who have worked to cure cancer, helped write dramatic legislation, grew up in tin shacks in the desert on mars fighting malarial alien rebels who robbed them of their childhood and innocence.
There's a nice little hole that ad. coms love to file apps in. Everybody stereotypes. If you make the headline on your resume "PRESIDENT OF XYZ FRAT" your fighting against the "greek alcoholic philanthropy" poster child routine for your whole app. And your better than that. So yes, put it in your resume as it demonstrates leadership to be president of any organization. But don't necessarily put it near the top, and just be really careful.

You're competitive (look at LSN and LSP) without ED. Only ED if it's your #1 choice and you're willing to pay full price.ktd21 wrote:so do my stats put me a good shape at ccn? or is ED in order?

If Columbia is your unequivocal #1 and you would willingly pay full price to attend, then ED. You're going to have to assess yourself whether that statement is true or not for you. The probability of acceptance does not rise enough to forgo financial considerations.ktd21 wrote:yeah but im worried about applying regular to h,s and c, not getting into any of them and losing out on the possibility of columibia ED
