So, I just scored a 169 (abt 3 points shy of what I expected given PTs, etc) on the June 2010 LSAT. I have a 4.0 GPA double majoring in the humanities. I have solid softs - TAed as an undergraduate for a 300 student class, a political appointee to some commission, hold a minor(!) elected office, worked as deputy campaign manager for a local mayoral election. I should have my apps out by the second or third week of September at the latest and I expect 2 very strong letters of recommendation. So...
Columbia has been my dream school, but I'm not sure what my chances given my low LSAT score. My top two choices are NYU and Columbia, but I'm not sure which of the two I should ED too, b/c I'm worried that as a borderline candidate at NYU if I don't ED, I'll get rejected and end up going to a school that I am far less enthusiastic about, i.e. Georgetown. What would you recommend? Many thanks in advance for your thought, time, and consideration!
EDIT: Not a URM

Re: 4.0/169
IMO, your numbers will not get you into Columbia.
However, with an ED to NYU, I would say you have 35 - 55 % chance.
Also keep in mind, while you may get accepted to GULC, you are by no means a lock.

Re: 4.0/169
You should fill out your apps and submit them but retake the test in October like me.
I would like to go to Columbia or Penn but currently have a 3.92 and 168. Raising our LSATs by 2 or 3+ points would look really good.
