Pepperdine Question

Post by aas911 » Sun Jun 27, 2010 2:57 am

I'm writing you all to discuss whether or not you think I should retake the LSAT this October. My dream school is Pepperdine and I hit their median LSAT score (161) on the June test. However, my grades are definitely not up to par (3.03 Business Major from Cal State School). Law School Predictor gives me no chance of acceptance but according to LSN I'm right on the border. I have "ok" softs (fraternity president, worked throughout school, Jewish high school youth group advisor) and I think I'm capable of scoring a 164+ with a few months of work. Can any of you provide more information as to what my chances are of getting accepted with these numbers or retaking and possibly getting accepted with slightly better LSAT numbers?

Thanks!

I think your chances would be significantly improved if you can hit 164 on a retake.

Not sure where you are getting your #s. Pepperdine's median for 2009 entering class was 162. Administration says the incoming for 2010 will be at 163. Gonna need at least a 164 with the GPA being what it is, and probably more like a 166.
