Can you retake and get that 169 above 170? It seems if you are above both medians, they are more likely to take you without work experience. Though many times they give a full ride in exchange for differing a year and getting experience.

I wouldn't recommend EDing, your numbers would get you money.

rjlee wrote:the 169 is a retake from 168. my last 5-6 pt's had all been 174+, so i thought I could do better, but after only going up 1 pt on the second try i think it's a HUGE risk to take it a 3rd time (at least for this cycle). if i'm not happy with my options after this cycle i'll retake and see where i stand then, but i think at this point it'd be wiser just to see what i can get with what i currently have, right?

sorry i should have clarified the lsat scores in my first post.

Then I suggest writing a very strong Why Northwestern, essay.

2% of the Class of 2012 had no WE, which is 5-6 people out of 272. And this percentage has a strong downward trend over the last 10 years, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's even less next year.

i'm in at NU with $$. no WE at all.

that said, I do have a 176 and 2 graduate degrees. I also interview well. I told them I wanted NU because everyone has experience (except me).

they want normal people. if you can carry a conversation, present yourself well, by all means go for it.
I met a guy at ASW with the deferral. Id say apply, and hope for the deferral. If not accepted then wait the year if you're so set on NU.

Provided that I score 170+...I plan on using this same strategy. I always saw my background more conducive to Berkeley or Penn...but all in all I do prefer the Chicago area. Nice to see there may be hope for Northwestern after all.
