yes 3.0+ 170+ will get you in ed. now, rd, high gpa/high lsat will get you rejected, so go figure. spoken from a bitter non-splitter.

It also looks like applying early for Early Decision helps too

A 2.95/174 who applied in late September got in while a 2.95/177 who switched from RD to ED in early January was rejected.

Wow I just realized even though I work in New England I'm still a Va resident, so with VA residency what lsat do I need with my GPA (which is 3.95+)?

How would my ED chances be with a 3.76 and a 165?

I'm afraid you have zero chance below both medians (3.85/170).

How far over/under each median would you need to be? How about 3.88/168?

poo wrote:So I'm taking the lsat in June and I'm PTing in the lower 160s after a few weeks of studying (I went up 8 points after my second pt one I was familiar with the format). Anyway, I have a 3.95+ GPA, decent (not earth shattering, but actually pretty unique) softs, and my recs are pretty good. I plan on applying the day apps open up, and I'm wondering what lsat will give me a solid shot at UVA ED? And by solid I mean around 50%.
I applied with some pretty strong softs immediately when applications were available with a 163/3.96 and I was waitlisted.
