I shouldn't be doing this . . .. What are my Chances?
Numbers are slightly fudged.
LSAT 158
GPA 4.0
Softs: Congressional internship, state congressional internship, student body president, two papers published, presented at international conference, undergraduate research for the Panamanian Smithsonian, numerous awards for academic achievement
Graduating from liberal arts school with double major
URM: Registered with a Native American Tribe
Here are my schools, all but five are with a merit-based fee waiver.
Mizzou
WUSTL
GWU
Yale
Notre Dame
BC
Tulane
Vandy
Tennesee
South Dakota
Minnesota
UIUC
Valpo
Chapman
Seton Hall
Baylor
George Mason

Take the June LSAT. You are in the same position as I was--interestingly enough with nearly identical softs....sure you aren't me? With your 158 you will be lucky to break into the bottom end of the first Tier. If you can up it only a few points, say to a 166, suddenly every school on your list will be an admit, you might even have an ED shot to a T-10 like University of Virginia.
Study for the damn LSAT. Don't waste your GPA.

i disagree with above post. hit mid 160s and apply to top 10 schools. right now, you're in at most of the mid to lower T1.

With those stats, your in every single school on your list except Yale. My advice, take again score in the mid 160's and enjoy the top 10.

With your softs, GPA, and (especially) URM status, you should probably at least try to pick off a T-14 acceptance. If you have the money apply to the lower end, like Cornell and Georgetown. Still a stretch, but if you look on LSN and people who got into the T14 with your LSAT, it's usually URM's with killer softs (which you seem to have). If you can get into the mid to high 160's, then you will definitely get in somewhere much better than what you consider targets right now.

LSAT 158

This is where I stopped reading. If you want my advice, give me enough information to make an educated decision. With a lot of schools your #s and URM status matter far more than your softs ever will. If you fudge them, I don't see how you expect to get accurate information.

Retake LSAT. The only school on your list worth attending is Yale and you aren't getting in with a 158. If you can get into the mid-160s you'll have a legitimate shot at the T14.

I envy your 4.0. You will get into some of the law schools on this list but please retake the LSAT to increase your chances.

did all of you miss the part where he said he is a card holding native american? Apply to the entire T14, one or more will bite.
