Which Law School Should I choose or reapply

Post by radar31520 » Wed Mar 31, 2010 3:40 pm

158 - LSAT
3.1 - GPA
Black Male
Eng @ top 10 eng. program
Probably will do patent law more than likely
Graduated undergrad a year early going to law school directly out of undergrad.
Strong Soft

I applied late and I got into......
WUSTL - 114k
UGA(in state) - half tuition
GW - 0
Georgetown (part time) - 0
WL @ t10 and Columbia

Should I just wait and apply next year?

EDIT: Didn't see the black male part of it. It is definitely a risk to reapply but you could do better. However, with a big scholarship and your likelihood of doing patent law, waiting a year might not be a great move.

Impressive cycle with those numbers. What were your softs, if I may ask?

The opportunity cost of reapplying may not be worth it. I doubt your score would improve significantly and some adcomms consider three takes to be iffy. I would choose WUSTL. For prestigious PI, Georgetown + IBR might be worth consideration.
