The question may be useless, but this cycle or next? Timing is very important with numbers and schools like those you mentioned.

Very similar (almost exact) numbers as you. Also no exciting softs. Not asian. Of your targets I applied to:
Columbia - still waiting
Cornell - still waiting
Duke - WL
NYU - still waiting
UVA - WL
Michigan - WL
Georgetown - WL

Re: 170/GPA 3.75
I have similar numbers as well but applied late and haven't heard back from pretty much anywhere. I would say your chances are solid at Northwestern if you have work experience. They eat that up. Otherwise, I can't be much help.
pleasetryagain, may I ask what waitlist you are on for Georgetown? Preferred, special preferred, or regular? I'm still waiting to hear from them. Are you pursuing any schools that waitlisted you?

Did you apply late? Because with a 170/3.75 that is a pretty bad cycle.pleasetryagain wrote:Very similar (almost exact) numbers as you. Also no exciting softs. Not asian. Of your targets I applied to:

I second the question of when you applied or are applying.
I applied after the new year and have almost exact numbers. You can check my profile to see how it's gone so far.
Of course, take my UVA acceptance with a grain of salt unless you are a resident.

haha. I know, it's a bloodbath. Also dinged at Berkeley but that wasn't on his list. They all came in rapid succession as well which was very disheartening; I almost thought about trying to officially join the BP.Desert Fox wrote: Did you apply late? I applied after Dec LSAT so, yes, I guess I was "late". Either applying late hurt me, the increase in apps hurt me, undergrad strength is more of a factor than people like to admit, my multiple LSATs hurt me, or my apps were just otherwise full of fail (or some combo of the above).
Wow - congrats on all your acceptances. Care to PM me your real numbers/any other additional info? I applied earlier than you and have not had nearly the same success. I guess there is some serious chink in my apps. I have had a lot of success from schools ranked 17 down thoughSauer Grapes wrote: I applied after the new year and have almost exact numbers. Michigan - in (depending on your zing)
Northwestern - in, depending on your WE. I say in though.
Georgetown - in

Assuming that I apply on the first day of the cycle..?
I think you'll do well.

Can I ask why you didn't apply to any of the CCN? With those numbers I feel like you would've had a decent shot at getting accepted to at least one of them.Watto wrote: I'm a 3.7/170, applied back in Oct to most places:

I'm in a pretty significant amount of student debt already and didn't believe the extra 180+K was a wise choice. Also, no desire to be in NYC.

Re: 170/GPA 3.75
For some reason, I really want to stay in the City by either going to the CN.
But another part of me is telling me to go to some suburban place where I could dorm and be with the nature cuz I wasn't able to experience that during my undergrad. Should I be fortunate/happy with going to to Duke/Michigan/Cornell?
Anything I could to bring myself up to above T-10 skoos?

Joining the club just for the sake of ... commiseration? (not looking for predictions) I have virtually the exact same numbers. I applied around New Years except for NYU (ED).
Yale - still waiting
Columbia - still waiting
NYU - "held"
UPenn - still waiting
Fordham - in with pretty decent money
Brooklyn - in with very decent money
Cardozo - still waiting
Good luck to all!
