Postby luhrenzo » Wed Mar 03, 2010 12:00 am

what are my odds? 164/3.53 URM. pretty solid softs. I went complete 1/21. Got rejected from GW and was expecting a wl at the least so I'm kinda jaded and have no ability to gauge my chances. give it to me straight...

Mexican. however I don't remember being asked on the vandy app about my ethnicity. does that mean that lsac reports it so there is no need to for them to ask? also, i'm half-mex, half-white. how does that play in?

yeah then you are only half- URM which calculates to 47% of the normal URM consideration. this will bump up to 59% if your dad is mexican and you have his last name.

Check your law school reports your race should be listed there. Did you write a diversity statement? Not sure how being biracial works.

Vandy(In/WL...Vandy seems to have a quick turnaround so if you haven't heard back in a timely manner I wouldn't be optimistic)
UT (out because they have a high hispanic pool)
USC ( out because they have a high hispanic pool)

Not sure on the other schools, but I hope my response gives you some insight if you did not know this already.
